Boonah Country Markets
Boonah Country Markets are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month between 7am and 12 Noon.
The markets are located at Springleigh Park, Cnr. Hoya Road and Coronation Drive, Boonah.
Scenic Rim National Parks
Lovers of the great outdoors can explore the myriad of bush walking tracks through no fewer than 7 National Parks.
The most challenging climb is Mount Barney. It's a full day walk, making Boonah the perfect base.
Mt. French is internationally known for world class rock climbing, but for the less adventurous there is a pleasant drive to the top and then a short walk to enjoy the spectacular view over the Fassifern Valley.
There are many other easy but rewarding walks.
Even a drive through the area offers fabulous vistas of the many mountains making up the Scenic Rim.

There are several pubs in Boonah within an easy walk from your self contained Brook Cottage accommodation.
There are other hotels in Aratula, Kalbar, Harrisville, Mt Alford, Rathdowney and Roadvale.
Nearby Scenic Rim Lakes
Brook Cottage, Boonah, is central to three of South East Queensland's major recreational lakes.
Lake Maroon is a 20 minute drive from Boonah is well known for fishing, sailing, boating and water skiing. It is a relaxing spot for a lunch time barbecue, with excellent picnic facilities.
Lake Moogerah is also a 20 minute drive from Boonah and popular for water sports, fishing and scenic bush walks. Spend a relaxing afternoon by the lake perhaps having a picnic or visiting the lakeside cafe.
Wyaralong Dam and Recreation Park, 20 minutes drive east of Boonah is our newest dam opened In July 2011 and provides for non motorised watercraft, such as canoes, kayaks, dinghies, small sail craft and multiple use canoes such as dragon boats and outriggers.
Mt Joyce Recreation Park is adjacent to Wyaralong Dam and boasts world class mountain bike trails, shoreline horse trails, fishing and bushwalks. The park also features picnic facilities and playground.
